Hi
At present, I am able to do upload the cost planning template via Excel Planning functionality in CJR2 transaction for the overview screen.
There are two screens once CJR2 is executed.
1. Overview screen
2. Period screen
Can u please help me on how to upload the cost planning data in Period Screen format instead Overview Screen for cost element planning in layout 1 - 701.
Regards,
Basavaraj T.
You need to create your own layout for that. Something like below
WBS Element Cost Element Plan P1 Plan P2 Plan P3 Plan P4 Plan P5 Plan P6 Plan P7 Plan P8 Plan P9 Plan P10 Plan P11 Plan P12
(All fields P1- P12 for each period in different columns)
Use the Characteristic 'Period' and in the field 'From' use 1-12 for each column.
For creating layout, please refer the link below:

Hi Srinivas
It;s a great document. Can u just elaborate further on how to do this for the different periods. I am unable to insert the columns as lead columns during creation of planning layout
The data I would like to upload looks like this below:
SAP Plan Version 0
Year 2008
WBS Element EW-RC293239
Cost Element 71909710
January 100
February 100
March 100
April 100
May 100
June 100
July 100
August 100
September 100
October 100
November 100
December 100

Refer the same blog.
Under from the general selection move out 'Period' and then insert an element (not lead colum) and pull in 'Period' from right available field to left (Selected Characteristics) and then mention 'From' as 1. Change the description to 'Plan 1'.
Similarly do the same for period 2-12. Now your layout will have single header row : WBS,Cost Element, Plan1- Plan 12. Play around till your satisfied with your layout.

Hi
This functionality worked well with a single WBS element and single cost element. Is there any way to do this for multiple WBS elements and multiple cost elements. Presently I am able to get the tempate for single object. The requirement is to upload the costs for around 500 WBS elements in one go with single or multiple cost elements associated with them.

Alse in the T-code CJR2 when i'm uploading the excel file .It is giving me error as file description does not exist.
Please resolve my problem.
Hi to all,
I built the file in Excel format, but when i try to upload i always obtain the same error:
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Value 000 in field "Period" is less than 1
Message no. K9019
Diagnosis
In either the initial transaction screen or within layout definition, value 000 was entered for characteristic Period.
However, the smallest valid entry is 1.
System Response
The entry in the initial screen/layout definition is rejected.
Procedure
Change value 000 for characteristic Period appropriately.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
The thing is that i do not know how i can solve this issue, since the period is filled in in the excel.
In order to build the report i used the following manual, but it does not work for my example.
Does anyone know anything concerning this issue?

Hello,
I am receiving exaclty the same message when I am trying to upload plan data in Cost Center Accounting. So please, if you have found the aswer to this question share it with us.
Surprisingly, in my case the upload is working perfeclty when I am using my own laptop (sapgui 7.10, excel 2007). But when I am trying to execute the upload from a customer workplace (again sapgui 7.10, excel 2007) I am always receiving the error message you are describing.
Any ideas, regarding sapgui and excel settings?
