How to pick Cobol Sequence and Index files in XI

Hi,

Has anyone worked with the scenario to pick Cobol Sequence and Index files in XI?

hi anu,

cobol sequence and indedx files will genrally operate at disk files.

disk files will be stored in .dat format generally and it is the cobol program which process the disk files in sequential or INDEXED process.

now if we have a .DAT file our concern is how to convert this to .xml file .

ll work on this and update u.

Hi,

The Cobol sequence means are you talking about the GDG sequence, then You could use the Masking concept but if you are expecting to pick up the fiels in same sequence then its not possible.

For that you need to design a program that will add the another file when the first file will be processed with XI (You need to delete or archive the fiel after processing)
