Rolling dates for variant

Hi,

Can somebody tell me how I can create a variant with rolling dates? I need that in TSCUBE and TSCOPY transactions.

Hi Raj.

As far as TSCUBE goes (and I'm assuming TSCOPY works the same):

- When you save the variant the field list that is displayed

- In the "From" row select "D: Dynamic Date Calculation" from the drop down in the "Selection Variable" column. (It is greyed out but will take the value anyway)

- In the drop down of the "Name of Variable" column, there should be a variable that meets your needs.

My Example: I need a variant that will bring back a from date of 36 months back from the beginning of the current month and a to date of the end of last month.

- Select "D" in the "Selection Variable" column

- Select "(Beginning of mth-xx months, end of mth+yy months)" from name of variable drop down

- Maintain 36 for the x parameter

- Maintain -1 for the y parameter

The variant now loads with the desired from/to dates changing as each month passes by.
