Material block for sales orders

How can I block a given material only for inputting sales orders?

Hi

Have you tried 'Listing and Exclusion' and activate it by sales document type. Check for the possibility.

What are the other ways you have tried...

hi

with reference to question i wil tel u exact answer.

step1: goto MM02->

enter material -> goto SALES ORG1 tab , in this u have the option called DCHAIN SPECIFICATION STATUS filed --- select the option " sales not allowed".

save the material.

step2: goto img screen

logistic general->material master->setting for key field->data relevant for SD->define sales status

goto order option select B-error.

any doubt please reply i wil tel u

Good tip, although I´ve tried all the options of blocking but none worked properly. It´s always possible to input sales orders, doesn´t matter which option I assign there..

You can set the block in the respective Material Master Records of the materials.

Maybe I´m wrong, but this transaction is for blocknig customers, right? I actually want to block only materials for the input of orders.
