Hi,

Previously SAP prefers to have the common SLD for all landscapes, but as per today's business requirments there is need to go for seperate SLD for development, Quality & Prod.

It completely depends if the Integration of the various applications or Business are based on various landscapes.

For .eg If in case the Sender and recevier applications are same for dev, Quality, Prod. XI servers then its better to have common SLD, but the sender and receivers systems are seperate for dev, pord etc. then it becomes very vauge to maintain all landscape in common SLD. rather maintaining seperate SLDs could help to channelaize it in well organized way.

Thanks

Swarup

Hi,

It depends on your requirement, it is better to have a single SLD so that no need to create a Technical and the business systems separately for the developement and configuration.

But as per the todays business requirement it is better to have a separate SLD for development, and to quality, Production.

Hi,

You can have different SLD's for dev, QA and prod. But in general it is advisible to have a common SLD across various landscapes.

Hello,

it's recommended to have only one sld like described here:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9e76e511-0d01-0010-5c9d-9f768d64...

Sometimes you have two slds:

One for prod and one for qual and dev.

Like described here:

/people/sap.india5/blog/2005/11/03/xi-software-logistics-1-sld-preparation
