Hi Folks,
We had old system with SID (EC1) and recently we installed a system with same SID (EC1). When I want to install the key, its conflicted in service.sap.com. Now I need to change my new system SID. My system was running in MS sql with windows env.
Any one have step by step guide to change the SID (Both SAP system and database) of the system.
Thanks
Regards,
Ral
I deleted the new system and installing with different SID. Old System was in use and maintaining for download stuff.
Thanks folks. Really appreciated.

Well... theres 2 options here...
1.) Reinstall the system with a new sid
2.) Proceed to do a Homogeneous system copy, then change the SID when the new system is deployed.

PS... Is the old EC1 system still been used??? if not just remove from SAP Marketplace and create a new system.

Have you tried (or thought about) deleting the system on Service Marketplace or sending a support request to remove it? That would seem to be an easier solution that changing the SID on a current system.
