SAP note says that during the time of upgrade the report automatically gets executed because the program is defined as XPRA.

hi,

XPRA is a type of programmable protocol type.

it needs to be executed during the add-on enhancement.

XPRAs: Append to Log File (During Upgrade)

Functionality

This function module is used for log output in XPRAs.

If the XPRA report is called with this function module during the upgrade, the function modules adds the messages it is passed with table XMSG to a file.

If the XPRA report is called with transaction SE38, the function module writes the messages to memory. To display the messages from memory on the screen, you are strongly advised to call the function module TR_FLUSH_LOG in the XPRA report after this function module is called for the last time. The function module TR_FLUSH_LOG reads the data from memory and then displays it.

The parameters 'open_file' and 'close file' do not influence the transaction SE38, or the upgrade.

regards,

Siddharth.
