Hi All,

Please guide me as i am planning to go for certification in SAP SCM..Is it better to join some Institute or i can prepare of my own, If yes , kindly suggest me some study Matreials or Reference Books so that i can start ASAP to prepare myself for the EXAM.

HI,

If you are already working on SCM- APO then no need to join any institute for certification.

SAP copy right certification material you will not get... Try it in your own company to get the SAP training material... I am sure you will get it in your company... if it is in consultancy field.

Read SCM help .. but it is very huge...

Hi Anjali,

It was nice info regarding SCM certification,but i have some queries regarding the certification roles you have mentioned:

Certification Roles

SAP Certified Solution Consultant SCM - Planning (SCM 4.0)

SAP Certified Solution Consultant SCM - Manufacturing (SCM 4.0)

SAP Certified Solution Consultant SCM - Advanced Planning with SAP SCM 2005

So for all the above certification roles is this the only one certification exam we have to write?

I don't know exactly what you mean by 'SCM-MM" certification. Better for you to go to the SAP site and look for yourself.

I recently took SCM Certification...though it is jus 80 Q's...I feel the 3hr time limit is apt.

Areas..

SCM Overview - SCM200

CIF - SCM210

DP - SCM220

SNP - SCM230

PPDS - SCM250

I felt SNP bit tricky. Cleared though!!

Don't spend time on TP/VS. As per the syllabus also, this does not come into picture...

Any Q's?

Hi Saurabh Wahi,

I just received my certification in SCM 5.0 and even though I have experience in most of the modules I still found the exam to be tricky and you definitely need to study the course material but you don't necessarily have to take the courses.

A couple of studying tips.

1) Use the questions at the back of each chapter to test your knowledge.

2) Go through the exercises.

3) Don't spend to much time on the Overview course, there are only 8 questions for this course and most of the material is duplicated in SNP, DP and PPDS course material but you still need to read it at least 1 time.

Have you tried the search feature in the Forum. A quick check for keyword "certification" in this forum returned 7 threads (including yours) in 90 days date range.

Please search first and then if not satistified put in your specific query. You will not get good / timely responses from a generic thread.

Best of luck for your certification. I cannot help in any way because I have not gone for any SAP Certifications.
