XI Installation and configuration......!

Hi,

This is the first time i am going to implement the XI. What is the installation process and what are the post installation activities and how to integrate it with R/3.

i need to implement XI at the client site can any body provide the roadmap of installation and configuration.

Hi Chirag,

I have to install 4 product of SAP and i have just worked on ECC 6.0. The list is as follows for the installation.

ECC 600

BW 700

EP 700

XI 700

I have to install and configure these products can u provide some details about post configuration activities.

Can u tell me what is the Enhancement Packages and how to install them.

Hi ,

For enhancement package.

For example fo applying the support packs use will use SPAM for upgrading the support pack level.

Enhancement is nothing but an up gradation of the particular component. say for exapmle my basis component is in the release of 700. i want to upgrade that to 701 means its an upgrade. For this we will use SAINT.Recently i n my case i did this for HR module. There will be a prerequisite for the enhancement. Please follow that one before applying.

For XI configuration the previous post was more than enough.

For ECC post installation--> Client copy,spool configuration,CCMS configuration,STMS and SPAM, kernel upgrade etc.

Then For BI7 install the template installer.

For this go to URL http://<sytem name.<port>/nwa

After that choose deploy and change.instllate template for BI,

Then install bex analyser for user interface.

For portal bringing the system.

Create one folder and create template system in system--> system configuration from the URl http://<sytem name.<port>/irj

i have installed the ECC 6.0 Server and i have upgraded the kernel and Support pack installation is going on now question is this after that should i install the enhancement packages?

is enhancement packages are same as Add-On because that we also install through SAINT transaction and as u said that we have to install the En.. Packages through SAINT.

I just want to confirm about Enhancement Packages and it's installation procedure?

Please clarify?

We are using XI 3.0 and having some problem to sent email through SAPconnect getting an error: "cannot process nodes, parameters can't be found"

RFC connection fine, just I want to know how to add format like RAW, ALI, OBJ, OTF, SCR look like these format are missing in XI when i goto scot and click on INT then Setting for "internet"

the widnow open just only PDF, TXT, HTM format only how to add thease format as above...

Please advise me thanks a lot
