Creating a track for ESS/MSS 60.x (NW04) in NWDI 7.0 (NW04s)

Dear Java Gurus,

I need some clarification on a scenario related to MSS/ESS.

We have a setup like this :

Backend ECC 5.0 (ERP2004) --> J2EE 6.40 with XSS 5.00 --> Portal EP 7.0 with BP ESS/MSS for ERP2004

Developers want to create a track for ESS/MSS into NWDI 7.0 (based on NW04s).

I found the cookbook to do this but it describes steps to do this for ESS/MSS ERP2004 on JDI 6.40, not on NWDI 7.00.

My question : is our scenario possible to implement?

If yes, what instructions do we have to follow?

Hi,

I don't think there is difference in configuration between 2004 and 2004S DI.

You can following the same guidelines given in cookbook.

Hi,

there is a small change in the configuration for NWDI from 6.40 to 7.0.

In general, if you follow the NetWeaver Master Guide (you find it in the SMP), it states that you should configure NWDI using the Template Installer. This should help you on that.

The setup for the ESS track hasn't changed.
