Can we apply the kernel files of 4.7 for 4.6c
and 4.0 for 4.6c?
Hi. About downward-compatible kernels read the note 19466
(exemple 640 is downward-compatible with 6.20/6.10) , but the releses in your questions is not downward-compatible.

Regarding the kernel upgradation ,u have to check for the existing version of the kernel ,and available level in the market place .The 4.7 kernel release 620/640 and find ur kernel release in SM51-by clicking release notes - tab u may find out the current release
