LAC authorization problem

Former Member

hi all,

We have a problem when we run external LAC from Portal. We get error message something like:

"you don't have a authorization to view this auction" but when we try to lauch it on internal LAC everything works fine.

summary:

Bidder and bisness partner exist.

We choose this bidder for auction.

When we try to log in on bidder account (internal) we find a auction then clik on hammer button and live auction cockpit works.

When we log in to bidder portal page (external) and hit the hammer , pop up window appear (for lac) and window with information that we don't have a authorization.

Has anyone faced this problem?

Thanks for fast answers.

Hi,

There is a common userid (Usually it is SAPJSF ) that would be maintained by the BASIS team as part of the LAC settings. This user should have all the roles of Purchaser and Bidders (Standard + Custom roles of Purchaser and Bidder).

What i mean by all roles is that is that in general we do not assign the standard roles to the users, but assign a copy of the standard.

For example:

SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER and SAP_EC_BB_BIDDER are the standard purchaser and bidder roles, but in live system we will assign the copied ones to the user say ZSAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER and ZSAP_EC_BB_BIDDER.

This is where the main problem is, as the LAC will allow only the users who have similar roles assigned to the common user id (i.e SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER or SAP_EC_BB_BIDDER).

Solution:

Please assign all these roles to the common user ( SAPJSF ). i.e. SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER, SAP_EC_BB_BIDDER, ZSAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER & ZSAP_EC_BB_BIDDER . This will solve the problem.

Thanks for answer !

Your solution was very helpful, but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.

We still can't log in to external LAC with Bidder using Portal ( SRM 5.0).

Is there any other solution for us to try in this situation ?

We are running out of time with this.

Hi,

Please make sure that the single signon has been setup for the bidders in portal and SRM system. i.e. the same user should be available in both the systems.

We use the same, but the bidders are able to login into LAC through portal.

We check it and everything seems to be correct.

Is this problem could happen by wrong configuration of business partner or is more by portal configuration ?

For business partner:

1) We create bidder by using "Manage Business Partners "( BBPMAININT SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER ) with custom role Z_SAP_BBP_STAL_BIDDER (assigned to SAPJSF ).

2) In ppomv_bbp bidder is assigned correctly. He has three atributes assigned to vendor_sys:

BBP_030

LAC_BBP

PRODUCTION

and filled EXT_ITS with our adress.

Maybe one of this parameters create this error?

Hi,

1. Please try to login into SRM using the ITS application BBPVENDOR as the bidder (SAP_EC_BBP_BIDDER) and check whether the bidder is able to view the auction. If the this works then your LAC configuration is correct.

2. Please make sure that the all the "LAC Post Installation activities" etc have been properly completed. This information is available in the Master Installation guide for SRM (check for your release).

3. Regarding Roles:

For SRM Buyer - SAP_EC_BBP_PURCHASER / or any custom purchaser roles

For Bidder - SAP_EC_BBP_BIDDER / or any custom bidder roles

For SAPJSF = SRM Buyer + Bidder roles

Hi Piotr,

Please check if you pass the correct parameters from EP/ITS to ABAP stack.

ABAP generates following link to run the LAC applet:

These parameters are used to FM BBP_LA_BIZAPI_LOGIN to login the user.

Note that the type of the parameter i_client_type in this FM is int, so you must convert initiator (person, who creates the auction) to number 1 and respondent (any bidders) to 2.

Run this FM for your user and check table ET_MESSAGES for any errors. If FM ends correctly, you can see all defails of the auction.

Hi Marcin,

Thanks for suggestion ! It solve our problem. Our custom code sended wrong i_client_type parameter that's why bidder cannot view the auction.

Piotr
