Problem over VAN starting IR and ID

hello experts

I am facing a problem starting XI server over VAN. Everytime i have to manually add the domain name in the URL to start IR and ID.

Moreover i am not able to get JAR file through java web start.

Can anybody please solve this problem.

We also faced the same problem. All we did was very simple.

just maintain an entry in the ETC\HOST file (system32\drivers\etc\hosts) as your server name = complete path.

also check your java version, try downloading JRE 1.4

I hope it would solve your problem.

U are telling giving full path for the server name in the host file

Have u added the entries in the host file ..Ip and Application server name ?
