regarding field selection

i want to know , how we can change the selection fields of a screen( eg. outbound delivery).Like how can we make some fields mandatory or optional.

hi manjeet,

screen means, if its a VA01 screen for example you can go to SHD0 and give VA01 t.code then you will fnd a list of fields which you can make either optional, mandatory, suppress etc.

Go through the transaction SHDO, I think here you can control the fields related to that perticuler transaction.

Using T-code VOV8 to define sales document or using the path

Sales and Distribution  Sales  Sales Documents  Sales Document Header  Define Sales Document Types

based on your requirment you can make it mandatory or optional.

You will have to implement field exit on that particular field for that transaction and screen.
