I need to test network connectivity via the NIPING file that is located in the kernel files. I am able to start NIPING on our Unix server by typing command niping -s -I 0, this starts NIPING on our UNIX server and it then waits for a connection. I am then supposed to start the NIPING on our windows server, but when I type the command niping -c -H through a command prompt, I get the message that niping is unrecognizable as a command. I downloaded the file from Unix to my desktop which was the directory I tried to run the command from. I looked at the NIPING files on service marketplace and they seem to be OS independent. The niping versions available on service marketplace only go up to kernel 6.10. Our kernel is a 6.20. How can I get niping to test connectivity between our windows server and our Unix server?
This utility gets installed as part of SAPGUI so you could get it from a Windows workstation and copy it to the server you are testing from.
