Placement strategy : Next Empty Bin

Hi

My placement strategy is "next empty bin" (L) and I have only 1 unblocked storage bin (01-01-01) in my storage type which is already occupied with stock of same material.

Allow addition of exisiting stock is checked in my storage type as well as in MM WM view.

But still system is not picking 01-01-01 , manual entry is allowed.

So my question is .... in case of next empty bin strategy , will system always place the material in Empty bin only.

Hi,

Yes, system will always try to propose an empty bin.

To put it this way, in general the Bins are proposed based on the strategy entered in the Storage type.

Mixed Stock or Addition to Existing Stock allowed are indicators, which are control functions whether to allow mixed or addition to stock after determination of Bins, when you override manually.
