Network activity # range vs service order # range (split not possible)

Hello

In T-code CO82, it is possible to maintain the number range for the network activity for sales order (PS04) ... but also the number range for the service order (SM01) ...

Those 2 documents types are used in my project and they are assigned to the same number range => quiet confusing for the business.

I would like to create a new range that will allow me to assign a specific range for each documents but I could not find the way to do it because the function Insert range or delete range are not available in this screen.

For exemple, in SD it is possible to do it with T_Code VN01.

Could someone help me on this strange behavior?

Hi,

You can create your own group for number range such as network / service order in order to distinguish them

In transaction CO82, go to group & select insert. Afterwards you can enter text here for (your network orders) & assign number range for networks. Afterwards you assign network order type into the group newly created.

In the above way, create one more group for your service order & assign the number range with order type..
