SRM 5.0 Patch upgrade with ECC6.0 and EP7.0

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade the patch level of SRM 5.0 to latest patch level available.In our landscape we have ECC6.0,EP7.0 also.

Is there any inter-dependency of SRM with other SAP components like ECC6.0,EP 7.0. for patch upgrade?

Do I need to upgrade the patch level of any software components of these boxes ECC/EP along with SRM5.0 to work fine.

or

Do I also need to take of any other thing in terms of ECC6.0/EP7.0 for SRM patch upgrade?
