hello experts,
we have a seperate drive for /usr/sap/, the problem is that the disk is full,
can any one tell me what all folders can be made empty.
can i delete the files in /usr/sap/SID/DEV/DVEBMGS00/work dir
contents because it is using 500 mb space

Go to /usr/sap/trans/eps/in , here chek how much is great this directory.
this directory contains unpacked patch.
you can delete this files ( copy them to another disk ).

Check in your trans folder i.e.. /usr/sap/trans/ if you have many request then...
If wish to delete some very old request to make up some free space.

no you can't just delete files from the work dir ... besides: 500 mb is not much
do you reorganize your batch and job logs on a regular basis (using for example reorg jobs such as RSBTCDEL)?
check your GLOBAL directory (\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global) for any "old" logs...
check your directory for any core dumps...
