Got to http://service.sap.com it states all Product Availability Matrix related to H/w and S/w requirement.

Hi.

Yes , SAP provide document to explain the R/3 hardware and software requirement.

Open "Installation Guide" for the version SAP which you wish to install, there is all.

Also go to http://service.sap.com/pam ,and find your version of R/3.
