Hi All,
We are on SCM 4.1(APO DP). We have a peculiar situation for our phase in profile. The time series created is xxxx and it's start date is May 2008 and the end date is July 2008. The start and end date indicators are as follows.
Before start date the indicator is turned off and the constant factor is 0
After end date apply constant factor is turned on and the factor is 100%
Even though the start date indicator is zero there is still a forecast generated for the months of march and april.
All the forecast jobs will be run by using a background jobs.
Actions taken:
1) Checked the forecast profile and the Life cycle Planning is Active
2) Checked if the entry is in the standard table(we have a custom table which transfers the entries to a standard table)
3) Checked the Aggregation levels it is running on.
4) Re-ran the background job making the statistical forecast zero.
5) Re-ran the job interactively as well and checked the messages that the phase in /out profiles are active.
Please advise.
Thanks
Arun

Hi Arun,
You have to turn on the 'Before start date' indicator and keep the value blank for it to work. You are not seeing march -april forecast because your indicator is 'off'.

Hi arun,
If i understand your situation,
You put
Validity start date as may and validity end date as dec
constant factor before start date '0'
constant factor after end date '100'
still you see forecast for march april.
if that is the issue, This might happen as per default settings, i think the default settings are constant factor before start date as 100%.
do the following
I dont know how the screens look in 4.1
But in the phase in profiles go to Menu option GOTO> settings
there you can define if constant factor by default should be zero or hundred.
The main reason why this happens is if you try to put 0 as the constant factor before the start date, it does not save anything. so you need to make the default settings that constant factor before the start date is 0 %.
let me know if this helps you or if the problem still persists.
Thanks,
Mythilee
