Use old transport request for Client Copy (Import-Export)

Hi All,

One of our senior consultants had created a tranport request to do a client copy from the production server to the development server 4 months ago.

We are planning to do the same client copy again now. Can we use the same tranport request number or do we need to create a new one?

Just thought that the logic is same.

Please help.

Thanks

Vijay

Hi Vijay,

No need to create new request for client copy, but i will get data 4 months back u wont get the recent data from the development system so check once again, if you dont want recent data you can proceed with 4 months back request...

Hi Chandra,

Thanks for the information.

However, can you please let me know the worst case scenario while doing a client copy using Import/Export?

I am planning to do a client Import/Export on a Server during a bad time when there would be no one at site. Can I expect any possible issues?

Thanks

Vijay

Hi Krishna,

before you take client export, check all prerequisites(Free space and Tablespaces at db level) ,

take downtime for that client
