You establish and configure the BPM runtime connectivity in several instances:

● Service caf/eu/gp/model (GP configuration parameters) in the Visual Administrator. There choose Global Configuration-->Server --> Services --> caf/eu/gp/model.

● Service JCo RFC Provider (registering RFC destinations) in the Visual Administrator. There choose Cluster --> <Server ID> --> <Server Name> --> Services -->JCo RFC Provider.

● Function Configure Endpoints in the Admin Workset (configuring the endpoint alias).

● Transaction SWU3 in the respective SAP System (specifying the SAP Gateway). There choose SM59 to create

Hope this clears your doubt

Use

When working with Guided Procedures, you can use the Business Process Management (BPM) runtime of connected SAP systems. To do this, you must set the relevant parameters to allow communication between Java-based Guided Procedures and the BPM runtime of the ABAP-based SAP System. BPM runtime then has full process control. This affects primarily the following areas.

Data Flow

User Assignment

Process Status

What is Guided Procedures:?

SAP Guided Procedures is a framework for modeling and managing workflows using simple and user-friendly applications & tools.

As a part of the Composite Application Framework, guided procedures enables access to multiple backend systems, consistently combining different types of services and

applications into processes. In addition, GP supports collaboration, ad-hoc items, and offline task

management using interactive forms. It provides role-based access to tools and resources and guidance

through the workflows at runtime, thereby helping end users to easily identify and complete their tasks.
