SRM_BAPI_DOCUMENT function group

Hi all, I am trying to check-in a Microsoft file such as MSWord, EXCEL, or PDF files to SP_DOCUMENT or Business Document Service.

I found a function module called SRM_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN_VIA_FILE to do this, however, it only accepts local PC client file as the source of the file that I want to check in to BDS, however, my files that I need to transfer is from R/3 server (unix server) and not locally stored in PC machine. I cannot just copy the file from unix server to PC client machine since I am going to run the program in batch mode/schedule job.

Is there any function module similar to SRM_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN_VIA_FILE but the source file is from R/3 server rather than local PC file?

Any advise is appreciated.
