MDM predefined packages

Hello Everybody,

I am going to work on my first MDM project. I just want to know where will I find MDM predefined packages ( repository schemas ) for material, vendor, BP, articles etc ?

Hi,

Yes u have predefined packages for material,product,customer,vendor,BP etc.You can find them at service marketplace.

Go to service.sap.com

Software downloads->Installations and upgrades->Entry by application group->SAP Netweaver->SAP MDM->SAP MDM .5.5

Here u can get the entire business content.

For this u require S user ID and password.

Thanks for your promt reply.

But I am not able to trace path given by you . In Netweaver i couldn't find SAP MDM->SAP MDM .5.5.

Please check wheather path has been changed or what.

Hi Abhijeet,

The S User Id that you are using may not have the access rights to download SAP Products or the user may not have the privileges to download thats the reason you cannot see the specified path.

Go to link http://service.sap.com/swdc.

you will find a link as "Search for softwares" in right lower pane.click on that and search for "mdm 5.5 sp06" or "mdm 5.5 sp05" then you will find all the installables and the business content which you required.

Hello Tejas,

I don't think this is ID problem cause it is given by our organization for this purpose only.

I could find path

Support Packages and Patches -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NETWEAVER

OR

Installations and Upgrades-> SAP NetWeaver-> SAP NETWEAVER

In that there are four options

SAP NETWEAVER 04

SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (2004S)

SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1

SAP NETWEAVER PI 7.1

But none of them has link for SAP MDM.

Could you please check it.

Support packages-> SAP NetWeaver-> SAP MDM

Similar in 2nd one.

I feel you need to check out with the Basis.

Ask Basis guys who is having the proper authorization to download anything from service market place.

I could find path given by u FOR SRM-MDM Catalogue download . But this is not I want. I am searching for material, vendor etc. repository schemas.

I think u hav selected wrong path .Go to service.sap.com

then

Software downloads->Installations and upgrades->Entry by application group->SAP Netweaver.

when u click on SAP Netweaver u can see 5 options

SAP NETWEAVER

ADAPTIVE COMPUTING CONTROLLER

SAP NW IDENTITY MANAGEMENT

SAP MDM

Technology components releases prior to SAP NetWeaver.

Select SAP MDM then SAP MDM 5.5.Here u will get the entire business content.

I don't know why but I could see only 4 options under

Software downloads->SAP Installations and upgrades->Entry by application group->SAP Netweaver

SAP NETWEAVER

ADAPTIVE COMPUTING CONTROLLER

SAP NW IDENTITY MANAGEMENT

Technology components releases prior to SAP NetWeaver

SAP MDM is missing.

Hi Abhijeet,

like Tejas has mentioned before, your S User ID has no right to see and download MDM. You should check this with your SAP Basis responsible. If you're sure that your user should have the right (meaning a valid MDM license), you should get in contact with SAP (best way via OSS ticket).

Hi Abhijeet,

You need to download the SAP MDM package, the repository schema's are included in this package. (Employee, Material, vendor etc..)

To download SAP MDM

http://service.sap.com/swdc > Downloads> SAP Software Distribution center>Entry by Application group

Support Packages and Patches> SAP NetWeaver > SAP MDM > SAP MDM 5.5
