For Wily 7.2 installation, do I need JAVA 1.5?

Hi Experts,

For Wily 7.2, do I have to have JAVA 1.5 in order to run?

If yes, then what other processing do I need to do in my Java system when I upgrade java 1.4.2 to 1.5..

I would really appreciate your help.

Hi Markus,

This what I have done so far. I have extracted "SAPISEM72_00-10005638.SAR" and ran introscope7.2.0.0aix64SAPExpertCenter.bin and it did finish successfully and created /usr/sap/ccms/wilyinterscope directory. and I copied script and config.. folders into /.../../wilyinterscope.

I will now continue the rest.

So, do you think it could be problem for future?

No - as long as you make sure, that the operating system script, that starts wily on system boot, will pick up the right JAVA_HOME.

I don´t know what you selected during the installation so I can´t tell.

Do NOT upgrade all Java to 1.5

Installation 1.5 additionally (into a different directory) to run Wily.
