Hello,
I would like to transfer the data from APO a third party system.
What is the best way of doing it ?
Thank you

Hi,
There are many ways doing it, depends on which data you are talking about.
there are soem BAPI's where we tried to send APO data to and fro from JDEDWARDS.
hope this helps.

Live Cache data can only extracted through BAPIs or through backup to Infocube process. BAPIs are standard ways to interface data with external systems. Go to transaction BAPI, and open the node on Supply Chain Mgmnt --> APO. Pickup the BAPIs you are looking for based on transaction data or master data in consideration. There are methods such as Getlist that can help you extract the data from LC.
If you are looking for snapshot data that can wait, then you can extract relevant data from planning area infocube backups with appropriate filter.
Hope that helps.
Want to add more...
We were having similar requirement to transfer the Planning book data that is demand plan's data to Manugestics for further supply chain planning.
In this situation we have used very simple methode, Wrote one Z-program by which related data of the planning book/Data view data saved in the flat file.
This flat file laterd used for Third party... in the third party tool file upload program must be present.
Frequency of running the job depend on the buiness requirement.
If you want real time integration then you can give thought on use of SAP- XI technology.
Let me explain little bit more. We transfer the forecast data to R/3 system by standard APO functionality. In same way there are plants which are not currently on SAP but will be later on. We would like to get similar results in a file which can be modified at non sap locations.
1. I checked BAPI transaction but not sure which one to pick. Can you please also elaborate methods such as Getlist that can help you extract the data from LC so that I can have a look at it ?
2. Z transaction is also an option but not sure what to tell the ABAPer about it. Any thoughts ...
Thank you all for your help.

Hi Pratrap,
One option is to extract this forecast data to BW and use a open hub to send data to any database. You can even automate this process. You have a key figure that is used for forecast. We extract data by creating a cube and extracting data from the datasource (your planning area is your datasource ). Then use open hub and send it to either a table or external database etc....
See if this works for you.
