Hi,

ArchiveLink and BDN are services which are provided as a part of SAP BASIS. These components have been available from as old release as SAP release 2.0, and would be available with all the releases of SAP BASIS. Hence, you could implement your solution using ArchiveLink & BDN.

If you should need some more specific information, please feel free to ask.

Sindhu Sreedharan.

Hi Manuel,

Sorry for the delay in answering.

Unfortunately, its true that BDN would be able to give good performance only if there are smaller number of documents. However, no customer has reported any significant problems with the performance of BDN.

With respect to the security issues, BDN does not perform any security check on the documents that are being uploaded. There are only some authorization objects that BDN uses. These authorization objects are S_BDS_D and S_BDS_DS. Apart from using these authorization objects, no other security checks are done from BDN point of view.

I hope this answers your questions...:)

Best Regards,

Sindhu Sreedharan.
