Hi Xi-Pro's,
currently we're not getting fired any alert by our defined alert-rules.
XI is on Stack 14.
The Alert Framework is working, since if we are generating a test alert with the RSALERTTEST, this Alert gets routed to the Alert-Inbox of the users.
But no chance to produce any alerts out of the message-processing of xi. In the definition of the rules, we have played aroung with multiple variants, no limitation or just a limition to one interface, one namespace.... If we the produce some errors for example a mapping error, by sending some invalid messages through Xi we expect, the Rules are responsible for generating the alerts. But no chance - no alerts are produced. RSALERTDISP show no results, and the Inbox is empty.
We have checked a lot of posts her on sdn, we hve the step-by-step guide on help.sap.com.
Anybody out there who has a hint, where we can check the problem of our Installation. Do we have to check pmi logs for example?
Any hint apreciated.
Frank
Hi,
Inorder to work alert framework for messaging we have to enable END-TO-End monitoring. Once it is up then go to RWB->Configuration try to keep the systems/service level of monitoring to high. After this in end-to-end monitoring select further setting set the monotoring level to 5 or 10 minutes this scdhules background job
"SPI_PS_ASSEMBLE_DSP". And also background job "SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET". I hope this will useful to you.

Hi,
thanks to your reply.
We are on SP14, and there is still no more need to have a configured End-to-End Monitoring for the Alert-Framework to work. (Even we have configured E2E Monitoring, and it is working)
If i check the Background Job, both ar scheduled and executed every 5 Minutes.
Here are the Job-Logs:
No new data since last run - processing stopped
Job finished+
So again, i think for the first look on the configuration, everything looks o.k., but maybe it is an issue with the new pmi-free alerting functionality of SP14. Do you have any experience with sp14 and alerting?
Any furtehr hint is much appreciated.
Regards
Frank
