Attachments in SRM

Do you think the attachment function in SRM is a important tool to have installed?

Hi,

It is delivered functionality of a standard SRM system, you don't need any additional components to get this functionality.

Attachments are very impartment in the requisition and sourcing business process, to add specifications and other approval information to the business document.

Do most companies wait several months testing this function before rolling it out or do they roll out SRM with the attachment feature from the get go? I would think this would be a rather important piece of the SRM Module.

Hi,

If you handle large size documents, then you better have another server to store your files and you better test it.

For small size document, no specific test is required.

Hi,

The attachement functionality is predelivered with SRM solution...SO you need not install any tool for it seperately.
