I'm looking on the Kernel CD about sap solution manager 4 SR3 and i can see that :
KN_LINUX_I386 SAP Kernel 7.00 Linux on IA32 32bit
KN_LINUX_I386_AUPG SAP Kernel 7.00 Linux on IA32 32bit
What exactly is the difference between I386 and i386_AUPG?
Thx for all.

KN_LINUX_I386_AUPG is the Upgrade kernel. For a new installation you should use the KN_LINUX_I386 SAP and the KU_LINUX_I386 SAP kernels (Non-Unicode and Unicode, respectively)

Hi Fabrice,
The Export DVD's are the DVD's with the actual data on it. During the installation, after creation of the database, this data will be loaded into the database. It contains the tables, views and the contents of the tables (amongst other things). These DVD's are absolutely necessary to be able to install an SAP Central Instance. You can specify the location of the DVD's when asked so by SAPinst.
Henk.
