material type is changed?

is it posible to change material type after creation of material?

Hi,

The answer is yes we can change the material type of a material with tcode MMAM.

But the conditions are:

1.No stock for the material.

2.No open PO's and reservations

3.Also the allowable views for both material types should be same.

4.Number assignment should be similar

yes you can do that but first

First Make the Stock Zero

Then Cancel all the Open Purcahse Orders

Then go to MMAM and give your mat code and new mat type
