How to connect IDES ECC 5.0 to EP ?

Hi,

Have anyone tried connecting IDES ECC 5.0 to EP , if so can you list out the steps to do.

what exactly do you want to connect to the portal?

I suppose, you think about the employee self services (ESS) and manager self services (MSS)?

these would be the approbriate steps:

- import ess, mss & pcui applications with SDM

- import business packages ess & mss with SDM

- create system-entry for your ECC5.0 system in SLD

- create JCo-Connections to the ECC5.0 system in Web Dybpro Explorer

- create System(s) in the Portal with aliases

I already have EP with Business packages for ESS/MSS installed and IDES ECC 50 .

For the first time i'm have to setup this landscape, can you provide some detailed steps..

Vijay,

it would be easier, if you tell which problem you have at the moment. The documentation (http://help.sap.com) and the Documentation for the MSS BP is straightforward.

If you have imported the BPs, the next steps would be:

- open http:///sld in the Technical Landscape).

- in the portal you have to create a system that points to the WebDynpros of the BP (probably the same system that hosts your portal). This system should get some aliases mentioned in the documentation (SAP_R3_HumanResources, SAP_XSS_ITS or something like that).

Please ask, if you have specific problems, following the steps provided in the documentation. I think, youÄll understand, that we can't explai the whole procedure here
