Hi
A component is fully assembled and available in project stock for delivery. Is there a way to split the components and do the project delivery in CNS0.
After final assembly only one finished product is available in project stock for delivery.
Classic example is the final product gets dis-assembled to as many child components in the BOM heirarchy...well atleast till the lower level sub-assemblies. And the actual delivery is done by grouping the components as per logistic convinience.
I found a BAPI for filtering during CNS0. Has anyone got info on this? Does it really split/ filter all the components and then group them again with an attribute??
Has anyone handled such a scenario?
Kindly give some thoughts.

Hi,
There is functionality of delivery split in SD module where you can split one consignment into multiple segments. Please refer the URL which will give idea on this.

Hope this will help you.

Hi
The split in SD module might refer only to splitting the items which are available (many in numbers) in project stock. But here the question is how to break a single item.
The despatchable items are broken down to a level where the components were already consumed in the sub-assemblies. All the despatchable items are not necessarily billing items.
The idea of having all the despatchable items in project stock and doing the actual assembly outside SAP (physically) is fine. Ideally if you go by this logic I would end up not issuing many components to the higher level production orders.
I am sure this is not an un-usual situation when u speak outside SAP.A main item can be dis-assembled and delivered based on logistic convinience.
Do you have any provision in SAP?
Hi,
I do not think it is feasible.
If the finished goodis dis-assembled, how about valuation of these sub-assemblies?. How to split the actual costs among various sub-ssemblies?
And if delivery has to happen at a sub-level, why not make them the Finished goods deliverables instead of doing a dis-assembly later on?
