Advance shipping notificaion(ASN) to EDI

Hi,

I want to send ASN as a EDI Message to the cutomer.

What are all the possible ways available to convert the ASN to EDI Message?

Please give me the clear idea about EDI conversion.

Hi,

For this you need Seeburger inorder to convert IDOC-XML to EDI-XML and vice versa.

Your scenario will be IDOC(SAP)--XI----EDI(Seeburger)

For this you need to install the seeburger adapter on XI server.

Hi,

If u want to send the ASN via EDI you need to have EDI subsytem provider which is third party tool and this must.

Then you need to establish a coneection between SAP and EDI subsytem and need some configuration in SAP such as partner profiel creation,port creation RFC destination etc.

ALso you need to develop an EDI mapping document to convert the O/B ASN idoc to EDI format(X12,EDIFACT etc)

Once EDI subsystem people done the mapping as per ur mapping sheet and after compeltion of connectivity u can start exchaning the ASN data b/w SAP and ur customer via EDI

You should determine the type of 3rd party adpater you might need to use

like Seeburger,IWay or there is itemfield

depending upon that you can proceed about which EDI format you are trying to convert X12 or EDIFACT or CIDX etc......
