Hi all..
I am new to XI and hence getting stuck up at many places.
I had configured a scenario(File->IDoc) and activated the standard change list for that. I simply could not judge if my configuration was wrong as the file was not getting picked up from FTP directory.Only after the server admin informed me that there was some problem with the Integration server, I came to know that there was no problem with my scenario.RWB / SXMB_MONI dint help much till then.
the question here is what would be the ideal steps to find out what's wrong with design / configuration
Hi Amol
Have a look at the following links,
they are very good guides for problem analysis,

Hi,
Design error will be there when you try to activate the object.
To check if the configuration is working for your adapter go to
http://<server>:<port>/mdt/amtServlet
To check the log if there is any error while picking the file
http://<server>:<port>/MessagingSystem/monitor/monitor.jsp
To check error at the IDoc end
go the Target SAP Application and see the Idoc status in transaction WE05

Vijay

hello amol...
in design generally if the scenario is gettin activated ther r not any errors generally...
asfar as configuration goes, the communication channels play a vital role...
always check ur adapter monitoring in theRWB...if they r rigth means ur major problem is solved..
thn the other common eroor is receiver dertemination, alwys check the sender namespace, sender name and interface , they have to be correct..
also in FTP scenarios, they r case sensitive...so be careful ther....
this shud be it for this particular scenario....
regards..
