RFC ADAPTERS are based on ADAPTER ENGINE of J2EE stack

IDOC ADAPTERS doesn't require any sender agreement i.e no need to configure sender side commmunication channel settings

where as RFc ADAPTER require sender side configuration

Hi,

Idoc and BAPI are both are SAP-objects.

Idoc adapter used for ASync- communication.

Rfc adapter used for sync-async communication

Check this For choosing the Right Adapter while dealing with the SAP Systems
