ITS related doubts

Hi all,

I have configured SAP ITS with r/3 server. I have few doubts about it:

1)I have r/3 installed on one machine. How can i check the version and the port number at which r/3 is installed?

2) In the ITS instance installed with IAC package, i am not able to access webgui service and few other service, but able to access its_ping and one or two more services. The maessage displayed in case of webgui service is:

" Invalid Service "

Is there any problem with the ITS set up or how can i make the webgui service working?

Hi David,

the port number the dispatcher is listening to can be retrieved this way:

Logon using SAPGui for Windows, HTML or Java.

Use System->Status

The server name showed here consists of voilà.

For solving the problem with the services you should examine the ITS trace

files.

Hi Tobias,

Can u please explain me that what is "saddp" in the below mentioned line and at the time of ITS installation the Application server port number we are asked to fill up is this port number only.

Hi David,

if <port_number> equals 50, then the dispatcher of the SAP WebAS will listen

to port sapdp50. And how to find out how this is mapped, is really a TCP/IP

basic issue for beginners.
