Hi,
I am able to open the SLD. But I am not able to open the following applications:-
1) http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/irj/portal
2) http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/VC
Instead of opening the portal. it is coming up with the baove stated error message, i.e., 404 resource not found. I am really trying a lot to resolve this issue, but I am not able to solve this from a long time. Please kinndly help me in resolving this issue. I would be very thankful for your help.

Phani.
Hi,
Sorry for that. I was in an impression that some people might be looking in to this forum and some might be looking in to different one. So in order to make my question more visible I have posted in two forums. I really apologise if that is a mistake.
Thanks a lot for informing me about this,
Kind regards,
Phani.
Hi Phani,
You can install several Usage Types into a J2EE. E.g.: EP (Enterprise Portal), PI (Process Integration), MI (Mobile Infrastructure), DI (Development Infrastructure)...
You can download the software from the SMP and install it using JSPM.
If you don't have Usage Type EP installed, you don't have the Enterprise Portal functionality and therefore will never be able to logon to the Portal (you can't logon to something that doesn't exist). A Java Engine doesn't comprise the Enterprise Portal by default.
Regards,
Henk.
