I am trying to setup SAP PI 7.0 system on Windows 2003. I have completed the installaions and working on Post Installation activities. I have 000,001 and 066 clients in my system.

I logged into system through 001/SAP* and created 100 client in SCC4. I logged off from 001 and tried logging into 100/SAP*. I have used PASS, 19920706 and also my Master Password. None worked for me. I have gone through some blogs and learnt that I need to set the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0 in RZ10.

I logged into 001/SAP* and RZ10. Now please suggest me how to processed. I clicked on display. It says "There are no profiles".

If there is anyother easy way to get into 100 client please let me know. Thank you.

Hello Phanikumar,

One of the first post installation tasks in SAP is to import the system profiles into SAP (into the Database).

Log into 000 and:

go to transaction RZ10

IN that screen use menu option UTILITIES>import profiles>of active servers

This will import the profiles stored at OS level into SAP.

3 profiles will be imported:

START( START_<Instance>_hostname),

DEFAULT,

INSTANCE (SID_<instance>_hostname

Then select the DEFAULT profile:

from the radio button select extended maintenace

and click on change

In the next screen search for the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar

-

If you find it change the value from 1 to 0.

Then from the top of the screen click on the button COPY

Then click on the save

Now go back one screen (using arrow button or F3)

Now you are back in RZ10 initial screen. Now click on save again. The system will prompt you to activate the profile. Click on yes.

Now you have to restart the SAP . Go to MMC and stop

the whole of R3 and start again.

Then try logging into the new client with SAP* and password pass

Hope this helps

Regards,

Prashant
