back dated order

dear all

I want to create an order with back dated for eg for 29 feb.i have changed the dates in the order overview screen req.deli.dt& pricing date to 29 th.but not able to change material availability date.when I try system throws an error mtl. Avlbility can not be in the past.i have to create the order for 29 feb.how can i do this .NOTE:the periods are still open.

Dear yugandhar

If stock is available as on 29-02, you can create the sale order on 01-03 and post the goods issue on 29-02.

To do this, just you create the sale order and save. Now go to VL01N. Under the tab "Item Overview", there is a field "Actual GI Date". Here enter the date as 29-02-08 and press "Post Goods Issue". Now if you generate invoice, your invoice date will be 29-02-08 and your inventory gets reduced as on 29-02.

the schedule lines are confirming for 1 st march only.still can i do the pgi with 29feb as actual GI date

Yes you can do provided as I said earlier, you should have stock as on 29-02.
