A question about DTR

Hi Experts,

I am Using NWDS 7.0.06 develop my webdynpro project, now i want to set up a DTR Environment to version control my worksapce.

Now i create a DTR client enter content like this:

Client Name : CompanyDTR

DTR server URL: http://myportal:50000/dtr

Local Root: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\dtr

My question as follows:

1: I can not understand what is "Local Root ",should i enter my project worksapce in Local Root?

2: How can i version management of the project after create DTR client?

Hi,

Regarding Version Management,

You can use Change Management Service of the NWDI (NetWeaver Development Infrastructure) or JDI (Java Development Infrastructure).

The version control and conflict detection are provided by the DTR. The files which you intend to modify are checked out of the DTR to local folder and modified locally and after changes done, files are checked in back again to the DTR. There is also the provision of local build and local test where this local folder comes in picture.
