Impact upgrading R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0

Dear Experts,

We are using SAP R/3 4.7 with XI. We are upgrading R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0.

What are the impact?

Hi,

There are lots of featurs available in ECC 6.0 for interfacing with XI.

there are chances that the old interfaces will failed due to couple of reasons which could be resolved with various updates in the settings.

few have mentioned below.

With SAP 4.7 you would be interacting through IDOC or RFC, in ECC6.0 you could communicate with ABAP proxies also.

Thats bit faster than RFCs.

Remaining things like RFC destination and connectivity settings , logical systems and all need to be make available in new ECC 6.0 system.

In XI the SLD need to be updated with the requirments. The communciation channels have to be updated as you might have use the SAP version as 4.7 so that will be 6.0.

So these settings need to be updated as per the system details
