making a non bom subitem dependant on main item

Hi ,

I have a requirement where in there are two material.

Main item -A1, a2

second Item - B

The second item B must have a pricing calculated on the basis of whether it is A1 or A2 etc.

I am able to locate the facility in access sequence condition 090 - which is "SD Document/Item/Material"

I am not able to try this in the system because after I add this to the access sequence k034 for e.g. i get red lights against the fields.

Has anybody tried it out?

Do you think this can meet my requirement?

Hi,

I think the best way to solve is to use variant config, and use characteristics and use variant conditions for pricing.

The main product is basically an type of insurnace policy( can be car super/car standard policy or personal super / personal std etc)

And this second product is an extension of cover to certain amount of contents in the car.

This should be applicable only when the customer buys car insurance.

The value of the contents cover can go up by 100rs for every 1000 rs extra insured.

we are maintaing the car std, car superand ,personal super and personal std and others as different products.

depending on whther the customer selects car super or car standrad this extra cover can be added.

The rate for the extra cover changes for both the products too...

without variat config is there any other possibility?
