Fellow MDMers!
What is regarded as best practice to create a diagram showing the structure of a repository?
Can an XSD be generated based on a repository?
If so I can import it into Access and use it's diagram tool.

I was hoping that there was a method to (semi)-automatically generate the diagram.
Problem is that you can't even copy more than one row from the fields pane in the MDM Console into Excel.

As you asked XSD can be generated using a tool Xomlite45 with all the fields.

I think you can use your custom template in word document with pictorial implementation. Cretae a hierarchy with like:
Repository>main table> Its fields -->to which they reference like lookup flat, hierarchy, etc. in similar way other tables in low down the hierarchy.
Pictorial representation is much clearer than any other format.
