finished product packes into Returnable packaging material

hi Gurus

i have one problem that my client has a product -milk 1 litre pouch & another material is Returnable packaging -CRATE

now i want to pack that milk 1 lit into CRATE

so that the system automatically take the conversion factor that 12 milk pouch(1 lit) = 1 CRATE

i have already created the CRATE as a Returnable packaging material (LEIH) Milk as a Finished product (NORM)

whats total setting of this Returnable packagine material

suitable answers will be rewarded

hi,

Yr requirment is to have 12 packets in a pouch so the simpleats way is to create a BOM for it and give RP = 1 and milk packets as 12 so that when ever u create order automatically 12 packets in 1 crate taken.

Hi,

I would recommend the use of Packing Instructions instead of sales BOM as this is not a material characterstic, instead a packaging requirement.

If we use packing instruction then how to take item category TAL into consideration as it is returnable packaging and to be accounted for.

Here is the simple way to do that

first create the Returnable Packaging Pick up ( LA)

Material- Crate

If the Customer returns your crate , then perform

Return delivery LR

if Customer does not return your crate

Returnable Issue LN

Standard Delivery LF

Billing for thr Crate using F2

the stcok can be seen at MMBE

Please find the basic steps for returnable packaging

Go to MM01 with mat type VERP item Cat grp LEIH

Go to OMS2 choose mat Type LEIH and click on Qty/Value updating button

Choose Valuation Area (Plant) and Specify mat Type LEIH save all those things and Exit

Go to MB1C specify movement type 561 Special Stock Indicator V

Go to OVAZ and assign doc type

Go to va01 for standard item and packaging item

the item Cat is TAL for packaging item and in the configuration window pricing =X

No billing relevance

chechk item relevant for delivery

in the sales order 621 is mvt type

save the document and go to standard delivery

go to VL01N delivery and PGI

go to VF01

go to VA02 and check the doc status

go to va01 specify the order type AT with reference of the previous doc number

here u should specify the returnable packaging item nbr and Qty as well.

go to Vl01n to post return delivery (LR)

Specify qty and PGR

save the doc

go to MB58 and check the stock position updated item cat here is LAN
