Adapter development for integrating EDI systems with SAP XI

We are going to develop an adapter for integrating EDI systems with SAP XI.Can anybody help with any information?

What is that EDI format you are trying to read? which EDI system you are trying to integreate.

What is EDI 997. I think its a splitt channel provided by Seeburger.

Can you please let me know the EDI message and version for example D96A etc.

But it is an TXT file right with 997 means acknowledgement? t it is X12 right?

look you dnt have to create an module for this...this is an X12 standard format in an txt file...if you are getting in X12 as txt then use the file adapter and do the content conversion that should work for you.

its tedious work to configure but you can do it....untill it is coming as txt or other readable format.

What is the reason behind this you have choosen to develop the Adapter Module for EDI data handling

Why dont you go for

1) Seeburger adapter

2) Conversion agent
