URL for Receiver mail adapter

Hi Experts,

Hi have gone thro' all these blogs..

i know that the url format is smtp://mailserver

i am using Outlook...

i just want to how to find out the exact URL i.e the smtp adress for my outlook??

Do the following

Click on your Outlook propeties

Select Email account

Select View or change email accounts

You would reach a Screen showing the Exchange server.

What do you mean by complete URL?

>>smtp://blr-ec-mbx04.xyz.com

Should do the trick assuming blr-ec-mbx04.xyz.com is your SMTP server address.

this is complete path tools>>>>options>>>>mailsetup>>>>email account>>>>view or change existin email account>>next>>microsoft exchange server>>change..you will find your server address.

Hi Biplab,

In my point of view, this URL is sufficient for a Receiver mail adapter.

What would you mean by a complete URL.

This i believe is your URL which along with the User authentication points to your outlook client

Hi

this is only the way to get the url of ur microsoft exchange server.

before this url u have to add the smtp://then ur server address.

Hi

to know the exact url go o the outlook

go to Tools--->options

select tab as MailSetup

click on the Button E-MailAcccounts

a new pop up will open--->click on Next

on this screen MicrosoftExchangeServer will be selected

click on change button in the right

u will be able to know the address of the server.

Hi das

go to tools in menu bar of ur outlook then select options>>mail setup >>email account >>then you will find the path of ur outlook server.
