system copy error

Hi All,

We have to perform system copy that should be a exact copy of production server. SAP version is 4.7 and database is oracle 9. we took the online backup of production system and restored it through BRTools,we successfully performed the restoration and our database is up and running but while starting the SAP server through SAPMMC disp+work process stopped. we tried lot of things but its not working.

Hi Prashant,

What is the same of your oracle SCHEMA user? Is it the default SAPR3 or check it in the environment variable.

WHat is the correct password of it?

Then try this:

SELECT OWNER FROM DBA_TABLES WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'SAPUSER';

DROP TABLE "OPS$<SID>ADM".SAPUSER;

CREATE USER OPS$<SID>ADM IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY TEMPORARY TABLESPACE PSAPTEMP;

grant dba, connect, resource to OPS$<SID>ADM;

CREATE TABLE "OPS$<SID>ADM".SAPUSER(USERID VARCHAR2(256), PASSWD VARCHAR2(256));

INSERT INTO "OPS$<SID>ADM".SAPUSER VALUES ('ORACLE-SCHEMA-USER','password’);

• ERROR => OCI-call 'OCIServerAttach' failed: rc = 12154

likely means that entries in SQLNET.ORA / TNSNAMES.ora could be wrong / incorrect. Verify the entries. Also try R3trans -d or -x from the command line and see the return codes.
