Hi,

You should do it through SDM and not through NWDS.

For SDM:

Log to your server and go to:

\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Instance No.>\SDM\program\RemoteGUI

Hi,

Logon to the server machine.

Then, see my instructions on previous thread.

You'll need to provide password. The passowrd is the same to the one you supply when you deploy Web Dynpro projects through NWDS.

Hi,

The "usr" folder is under the drive where you installed your portal.

It could be under any drive.

For example, my installation:

d:\usr\sap\SPD\JC00\SDM\program

Then run RemoteGUI.bat

The application will be opened.

Go to the menu: "SDM Gui" -> enter password

From the "Deploy" tab -> push the most left icon (add files)

and follow instructions

Hi Omri,

I went there and i have added the required sda file in the sdm...

deploying sda file has four steps....its seems...

as you said i have addedd the sda file and when i right click on that am getting some options like Add SCA/SDA file in local file browser and Add SCA/SDA file in server side browser.....

In my case changes has to be reflected to all.....so I guess i should choose the Add SCA/SDA file in server side browser ....rite..........

Please clarify me asap...........

Thanks in Advance,

Dharani

Dharani-

To deploy using the NWDS. Add the Deploy view by searching for it in Windows->Show View->Others. Then Right click on External Deployable Archives and add your archive. Then right click on the archive and choose the Deploy option. I am using CE 7.1 so the options might be slightly different but the idea should be the same.

Cheers-

Hi,

1) Copy your SDA to the server

2) Go to deploy tab.

3) Push the left most button (the one with the tooltip "Add SCA/SDAs for Deployment"

4) Next

5) Next

6) Deploy
